Boardwalk [OPEN]

It's Sunday and Riley's decided not to work. Especially since the museum is actually coming along and because...well...she can't stand it at Coombs & Co. with Moira and Alodia giving each other the iciest cold shoulders she's ever experienced in her life. Seriously, working with those two while they're bickering is something even the patient Jung Ji-Yun can't handle for more than one shift in a row. When she and her sister fight, the house is loud and obnoxious. When these two fight, it feels like the room's been sucked into a black hole and Riley's just waiting to be sucked up into oblivion.

So Riley packs up a tote--sunscreen, sunglasses, cash, her notes, and a ridiculous amount of candy--and heads out to the Boardwalk. The weather is lovely and people are out, making this the perfect opportunity for her to relax, do some brainstorming, and people watch.

Finding a bench with a good view of the water and the stands of the Boardwalk (but far enough away from the place she fell all those years ago), Riley plops down and hauls a huge bag of candy and a book out of her bag. She plans to spend the day here and already feels lighter as she soaks up the sun.

ooc: idk man I feel like Riley hasn't had a chance to ~relax~ in awhile. So find her on the boardwalk, maybe share some candy, play some games, etc etc. Mostly she just needs a breather bc Moira and Alodia, man.

Reflecting back a huge grin, he hugged her back. Squeezing a little before dropping a quick peck to the top her head her. “Awful for not having seen you,” pouted Alfie for a second before adding, “It’s been up and down. Family stuff.” He would admit he didn’t speak about his family a lot, but that was because he wasn’t sure how much his friends would get. Les was alone, and it almost made him feel guilty to complain about his when he still had one. Whereas Riley was really close to her sister, and he didn’t want to burden her with his crappy family – minus his sister, who was practically a Saint.

“How about you? How is all the museum planning going? Need any shelves putting up yet?”
