 Riley's been in South Korea for a wonderful three months and, honestly, it's exactly what she needed after the past year in Siren Cove. But as much as she loved the break and spending time with her sister and family, she did miss the old town. The atmosphere, the people, the drama, and of course, her cute regulars from her apothecary days. Most of all, she missed her home and her friends, especially Les and Moira. 

Arriving back in town late in the night, Riley spent the day sleeping off most of her jet-lag before she set to work on returning to the museum. Thankfully, she managed to hire someone trustworthy, someone Lily Middleton recommended, to take over her job while she and Val relaxed in Seoul. And while she kept in contact with Heather throughout her absence, she actually didn't have any worries about or lose sleep over the museum. Which for Riley, is truly a miracle. 

"I'm here!" she breathes into her cell, lugging several large bags behind the front counter. "The flight? Oh it was fine. Turbulence, but I knocked myself out with a spell. Are you okay? Have you eaten?" 

Riley drops the bags, kneeling down to empty them into a cupboard. She has inventory to add to the gift shop and of course, gifts for practically two-thirds of Siren Cove. "Val, it's 2AM there, you need to eat. Wha-seriously? This is the first time we've been separated since I went to school and you're already forgetting to eat?! What are you going to do without me," she frowns, standing back up at the counter to sign some paperwork from Heather. "Well, I left a week's worth of food in the fridge. Just heat up one of the containers in the microwave as soon as you hang up. And next week, mom will feed you. Okay? Sleep well, Sooyun. I love you!" 

With a heavy sigh, she hangs up and tucks her phone into her pocket. Really, this is the farthest Riley and Val have ever been from one another and it already feels like she's missing a piece of herself. But her baby sister was much more stressed than any of them realized, most likely from the whole...Middleton situation. And she needed a longer break from Siren Cove. 

In the meantime, Riley just had to not fall completely apart without her sister. And the first step - completely lose herself in work.

 Hey guys, I have another project where I'll be working all weekend, 12 hour days, with little to no phone time. So it's another temporary hiatus for me.

Since the ~Blackout Plot~ will still be going when I get back to regular RP schedules, I would like to participate. So here's where my peeps will be when it starts:

Riley - at the Jung cottage with Val
Grant - out on patrol with bff/partner James
Jason - out on a fishing boat and no way for them to get back to shore oh no DDD:
Michaela - probably with Alex thinking this is their honeymoon gift or something
Song - obliviously at her apartment
Chloe - somewhere flipping her shit

If you'd like to say your character is in an area with one of mine, I'm a-okay with that! I'll still be around twitter so hit me up or drop me a link to any threads you'd like to play when I do get back next week. Ex. If Lisa wants to play James while I'm gone she can totally mention Grant without me there, I'm cool with that~~~

Anyway, sorry I'll miss the beginning of this :'( but have fun!!!

Work just got super real and I'll be working all weekend so I've decided to go on hiatus this whole week.

I'll try to respond to some ongoing the threads but no guarantees when I'll be able to :( Sorry. Hopefully I'll be able to come back next Monday.

In the meantime:
Riley is busy with the museum.
Jason is working like usual.
Song is visiting her dad.
Michaela is at a family reunion in Portland and miserable.
Grant is helping his mom redecorate the entryway of the mansion.
And Dani is chasing some leads.

It's a beautiful, summery Sunday morning in Siren Cove, which means plenty of tourists and regular customers who wish to purchase the well-known beautiful flowers from Avant Garden. Val opened the shop bright and early this morning and Riley has just recently showed up to help her sister with the unusually busy customers. 

She's not allowed to touch any of the plants though. Never. Riley doesn't want to get her ass kicked, not today at least. So she mans the register, greeting the customers and wishing them a good Sunday while Val rushes around the boutique, suggesting various plants and flowers for ailments or to simply give a loved one. 

The tourists absolutely love the cute Korean sisters schtick. And Riley uses her signature eye smile to their advantage, selling an extra rose or two at the register just for being too precious. 

It's a good day and the sisters are doing very well from a business standpoint. 

The girls have spent most of the afternoon preparing for their 'Thank You' dinner with Grant. While Val has worked on the backyard, getting the table and chairs set up, hanging her favourite lights and freshening up her plants, Riley has spent some time perfecting the lasagna. It's Grant's favourite meal, apparently, and she found a recipe for their mother's famous lasagna in the back of an old spell book.

After she spends some time changing into one of her new dresses, Riley emerges into the kitchen again, carefully removing the lasagna from the oven. She swears loudly when she grazes the dish with her hand, but a quick healing charm and she's better than ever. She squeaks when she looks up to look at the clock and sees they're actually running behind. She's crossing everything right now that Grant is a fashionably late kind of fellow.

"Soo-Yun!" she calls, the door to the backyard wide open. "Are you changed yet? Grant will be here any minute!" She stuffs a few rolls of bread into a basket, wraps them up in a warm towel, and gathers the basket along with butter and garlic and olive oil. 

 hi uh I uh *swallows* gonna just uh *sweats* change Riley's pb again FOR THE LAST TIME I SWEAR I SWEAR i erm just love Tiffany Hwang a lot a lot she's my life angel okay I was wrong to deny her presence for SO LONG so um just uh
